## A cumulative trajectory

- **Information systems** — How what an organisation already knows is organised · data modelling, relational databases, taxonomies.
- **Extraction and retrieval** — How a fact is found inside an archive that never stops growing · OCR, parsers, indexing, lexical search.
- **Corpora and language** — What must stay invariant when a piece of content changes language · aligned corpora, terminology, NLP.
- **Classification and machine learning** — Which repeated decisions can be learned from the data · classification, ranking, gradient boosting, evaluation.
- **Content generation** — How an informational piece is produced without losing sight of its evidence · structured generation, checks, voice and video.
- **Automation and multi-agent systems** — What each part of a process that lasts weeks has to do · durable workflows, agents, policies, traces.
- **Project intelligence** — How to represent what a project does not yet know · graphs of questions, evidence and decisions.
- **Physical Intelligence** — Which signal shows that a physical action produced its effect · vision, sensing, state estimation, edge.

It is a continuous trajectory around a single question: how to turn information into knowledge, decision and operation.

Each stage took in a new discipline because the previous one left a question unanswered.

From each of them we keep the same things: the question we investigated, the capabilities that stayed, the artefacts that can be shown and the lessons that still hold. The judgements we have revised are recorded together with the reason for the change.
